Australian Lunar 2 oz as a gift!

Today, bought my nephew a 2 oz. Australian Lunar year of the boar for my 13 year old nephew. He has EVERYTHING in terms of toys, ect. so thought I'd do something different honoring the year he was born. Maybe he'll become a coin collector! What do you think?

I think its cool. Every birthday and Christmas I give my niece and nephew silver. They have eagles, series 1 lunars dogs horses and pigs, peace dollars, amark bars and this year they are getting Pandas. In total they each probably have 15 oz each. My nephew is still too young to understand but his 8 year old sister learns a little more about silver each time she gets it. She loves it and I love that she loves it.

Great present! My 30 year old daughter is going to find a couple of silver Pandas in her stocking this year, and I expect she'll be thrilled. I think she might be expecting the 2008, but the 2007 one should come as a real surprise! :)

I ALMOST got a Panda (so cool looking), but I wanted the first coin to be relevant to him by giving him one of his lunar sign.

Does anyone else make silver lunar ? The Australian one is nice, but the boar (pig) was not the best looking. Maybe I can give him a different one next year!

I thought the year of the pig is very cute. If you ebay silver lunar, you will find coins from other mints.
